TONIGHT ON THIS IS ROCK ‘N’ ROLL RADIO
Great rockin’ pop radio is kinda like getting hit in the face with a custard pie: it’s messy, it’s funny, it’s weird, and it’s sticky. It’s also embarrassing, and it occasionally involves The Stooges. This week’s TIRnRR exercise in sonic slapstick lets fly with new music from Gretchen’s Wheel (a Nada Surf tribute album!), Trip Wire, Richie Parsons, The Mal Thursday Quintet, and The Living Dolls, the familiar sounds of all sorts of fave raves past and present, and a salute to the late Mark Hollis of Talk Talk. We’re bakin’ up something special. Don’t duck–take the hit! Sunday night, 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse at SPARK! WSPJ-LP 103.3 and 93.7 FM, and on the web at http://sparksyracuse.org/
