This Is Rock ‘n’ Roll Radio # 989: The Eighth Annual DANA’S FUNKY SOUL PIT

Once a year, Dana assumes sole control of the playlist for an amazing annual shindig we call DANA’S FUNKY SOUL PIT! The first one was in the summer of 2012, a year when we were bringin’ in Guest Programmers left ‘n’ right. Amidst all these guests, we figured we should also each do our own show, too. Dana’s choice commenced with a spin of Parliament‘s “Tear The Roof Off The Sucker (Give Up The Funk),” as DANA’S FUNKY SOUL PIT willed itself into its first incarnation on July 1st, 2012. It became a welcome TIRnRR tradition, and the 2019 show is the eighth annual DANA’S FUNKY SOUL PIT. Our listeners look forward to it, Dana looks forward to it, look forward to it, and we’re gonna keep on doing it every year, for as long as there is a TIRnRR.

And now…the soul pit awaits. Take it, Dana!
